What does this play yard need?

Today when I looked out the window, the play yard looked so lonely.
If we had a few grandkids out there it would look a lot better. The swings look so forlorn don't they? Of course you couldn't swing to easily could you.

Saturday before they went to get snow off roof at cabin

They are acting like the long ladder won't fit.
Guess it did, and from the pictures from Becky's blogs
you will see how well they did.

Hope you had a great Birthday Tyler.

We visisted with Tyler and his family on thursday the
day before his birthday.
Hope you had a great day Tyler. Notice one of the new pictures Scott hung just after we got there. It was one he took in Alaska.

Cures anyone? I've about used all of mine.

Defy Nature!

At the supper table, Becky said look at those icicles, they defy nature.
It took me a minute to see, but then I couldn't believe it.
The icicles were reaching towards the house.
I guess it is because of the wind going that way but it was funny.
See how they curve to wards the house.
Very interesting.

My bed away from bed....

Notice the chair is back in the place where they tree was. I have been spending a lot of time in it at night as I haven't been sleeping so well at night.
Whenever I lie down my leg starts to hurt
so it is pretty hard to sleep.

Tonight we will have an easy crockpot dinner. Last night we had tinfoil suppers. Guess I'm getting lazy or something. Dad and Becky seemed to like them okay.

Monday-January 23rd- Before and after

I finally did it. I took the Christmas tree down today.
Sure looks bare, but needed to be done.
I'll keep the lights up over the
drapes though.
Look how sad a droopy it looks.
But it is outside now.

All dressed up in my fancy dressing---

The trees were so beautiful this morning.
They have their dancing clothes.
Even the weeds are beautiful.
Becky and Wendy bought me some after Christmas buys. 90% off is
a great deal. These are for our Christmas Tree
at the cabin next year.

The Sun or the Moon?

This is a picture of the full moon we had the other night.
This is a picture of the sun the day it was so foggy. It really looked like the moon instead of the sun.

Just checking out the cabin.

This picture was taken from the car window just as we entered the Valley.
Dad said I was freezing him out.
I especially liked the color
of the sky.
The snow is still heavy on the roof.
Dad said there was another 5 to 6 inches of snow since they were up there last week.
Hey you grandkids. It looks like you could have lots of fun up there.
Lots and lots of snow.

Foggy day-----

Notice Dad's fingers. Yesterday when he went to the sports
store, he fell down on the ice and had to crawl to
get somewhere to get up.
He cut his fingers really deep and he hurt his shoulder.
Today I have rice bags on his shoulder. Becky said she almost fell down also yesterday.
Notice how foggy everthing was this morning.
All of the trees were frosted.
I got a picture of Becky taking a picture this morning when she was
going to work. Earlier the sun looked like the harvest moon.
It was very weird, but now the sun is out shining
very brightly. What a change in one
day. Thats Idaho for you.

Dorrin's third birthday!

Dorrin really liked his new motercyle. zoom, zoom
I think he was enjoying his big day and the other kids were also.
This is quite the track he has and the car even goes upside down.
Even Ashlyn was happy as long as she had her Mom.
She would take one look at me and
cloud up real fast.
Becky always gets some good pictures. Whenever
I would start to take a picture of
Dorrin when I first got
there he would
hide.

Visiting teaching

Today I went visiting teaching at 10-11AM. I did give the proper visiting message from the January Ensign which is on the Relief Society this year. President Erying gave a good talk on the subject in November of 2009 I believe.

Sunday, January 16

Saturday night Becky went shopping with me and I got a lot of things for the grandkids for next Christmas. Nothing wrong with thinking ahead.
Sunday we went the regular 3 hour block. Came home and ate. Date went Home Teaching to 2 of their families. Becky and I had an interview with the Relief Society Presidency on visiting teaching. Then at 7 o'clock we had visiting teachers come. The lady to taught us got her messabe off the internet and actually gave last months message instead of the one in the January Ensign.

To the cabin they go.....

Today Dad, Lance, Derek and Becky went to the cabin
to remove snow from the roof.
I'm sure Becky will have some good pictures on
her blog showing what they did.
These are pictures of them getting ready to go in Dad's
pickup. Lance had to park so
I could get the car
out of the
garage.

In the summer you mow, in the winter you blow....

As you can see Becky is running the snow blower.
It just keeps coming off the roof.
Dad was using the hand shovel. They have been at it off and on all day.
See Becky's blog.
In fact it is almost 6 pm and they are both out there again.
Becky took time out to throw snowballs at the window.
Notice the snow balls on the window.
They were both laughing at me.
It took me a few minutes to realise what was thudding against the window.

Ode to "Aunt Becky" (the next 14 blogs) She's the greatest!

Kedryn and Cade, boy have you changed.
In the middle of things as usual. Becky always makes things fun for all of you kids. This is the greatest fun! I wish I would have had some older pictures on my picture blog but this is all she wrote. Hope these pictures bring back some neat memories. Memories with all of your are what makes my life worthwhile. Thank you for all of your love.

Becky always gets all of the kids to get into it...

They are very serious with their projects.
That was quite the volcano there.
Micah is watering my flowers while Tyler and Becky suppervise.
They worked together hard in the shed at the cabin.

Four-wheel rides are great and so are birthdays

Goes without saying. Lets go!
That Becky drives like a wild woman. Sure is fun though. This is a great view of the Tetons behind the 3 of them.
CaCades's birthday. Where is your smile?

random fun pictures

Look at that games. We sure had fun with Tyler and Micah. I was playing
with the red.
They were very busy making the volcano and grand canyon.
Becky was overseeing it all.
Wendy joins the fun, and Grandpa oversees it all.
It doesn't look like they are watching for a ball to come over the roof. Maybe they have caught it allready.
