Pick up piles of leaves.

Dad had raked up all of the leaves and pine needles in the yard.

Today I helped him load them up.

He scattered the leaves in the garden and

piled the needles up in a pile to burn.

Glad that is done.

Today we had a special visitor.  Landon came to our home

and stayed with us for a few hours while his parents

went to the Rexburg Temple.

He is a fun boy.

turkey leftovers and New Ensign.

I made some turkey enchilades to use up some leftover turkey

and some soup.

Are you hungry anyone?

How about some spiritual food.

This is the new  Ensign for December.

I've only got to read 2 articles so far but they are good.

Hopefully we think of Christ more this year as Christmas is on Sunday.

We have a great choir in our ward and they are preparing songs for it.

Becky put the rest of the decorations up.

I always love it when we get the Nativity up in the diningroom.

I made them a long time ago.

Becky had to do all the decorations alone as I wasn't feeling well this morning.

She did a great job as usual.

It is looking a lot like Christmas around here.

Saturday Nov. 26

Dad, Becky, Lance, Wendy, Tyler, Derek and Marcie went to the cabin

and turned out the water.  Then They got 3 trees.

They brought in the tree so we could start decorating it.

Becky and Derek started to decorate it and then Marcie had to go to work

so Derek left to take her to her apartment in Rexburg.

Then little latter Becky went with Derek to his home and Marcie

met them there and they put up Dereks tree.

and they decorated it.

Afterwards Marcie brought Becky home.

Friday Nov. 25

The Bates family came and visited with us Friday and

they fixed us supper of homemade pizza, and

made little peach and apple pies.

The food was very good.  Thanks for coming.

The kids were balancing pillows on their heads.

They can do pretty good.

Thanksgiving Day - Thursday 24

Shanell "shot" the turkey

full of good tasting basting.

Then Rod cooked the turkey.  Dad watched the process.

It was a very tender turkey and really tasted good.

The kids were having fun playing games with Becky.

Then they moved in the livingroom for the good food.

She was very fun and seemed to fit right in with us.

Cream Pie for Thanksgiving!

Becky made a cream cheese  pie for tomorrow.

It really looks good.  Hope it makes it until tomorrow.

Becky helped me do some indexing this morning.

I hope I can do it okay.

Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning.

Today I cleaned the bathroom.

Hope it stays that way until Thursday.

I polished all of the cubbards in the cubbard and finally

got caught up with my filing.

Now things won't fall out when I open the doors.

Monday Nov. 21 - Busy day, cleaning and cooking.

Today I washed our quilt and cleaned our bedroom.

I also made chicken soup.

I know I have too much.  I need to make a mass cleanout.

Sunday Nov. 20--Great lessons in Relief Society and Priesthood

Our lesson was on the Millenium.

We need to pray for it to come as soon as possible.

Wouldn't it be great to have Christ as our leader.

It would be wonderful to raise your families when everyone is living good lives.

Becky cleaned out the fridge better today and clened off the top of it.

Friday Nov. 18--Temple work House work

I cleaned out the fridge to make room for all things from fridge at cabin,

so it didn't look much better.

I didn't get a picture today.  Cleaned out fridge this morning.  Then Dad and I went to IF to get his Lab work today.  We ate at a chinese restaurent. 

Just to show you the difference.

There is a lot more snow yesterday than there was last week.   I didn't get a picture yesterday
of the house.  We left the trailer at Genevieves and drove pickup in on the road below the
house and Dad carried the boxes down on the 4 wheeler.  It worked pretty good.

Wed. Nov. 16--See our christmas tree,

It is pretty tall and will have to take some off but it is nice.

Notice how muc snow was up there.

That Polaris did just great.

We met a man on our way down and he couldn't believe we had been able to go

up with the 4 wheeler.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Look at the pretty colors.  With the moon partway behind the clouds

it looks like it is a funny shape.

Sunday Nov. 13 - subbed for the nursery

I helped Becky in the Nursery today at Church.

Kathy couldn't be there as he had a car accident yesterday afternoon

and she totaled her car.  She had 4 stiches on her forhead.

snow--guess we can say goodby to green grass.

It snowed so much for a few hours today that Dad had to bring out the big guns.

It just doesn't seem like it should be winter yet.

Lots of snow on the wind chimes.

Guess it has on its winter cap.

He finished up with a shovel.

Sister Arnell was out shoveling out her driveway so Dad went over and helped her.

We found out that Kathy was in a car accident today.

She cut up her face some and totaled her car.

She was lucky it wasn't worse.

Temple work today.

This morning Dad and went to do sealings like we do every Friday.

When we got there I was the only woman for 45 minutes so

Dad and I did a lot of marriages and boys sealingss

before another sister came.

I'm glad we can do this work for those who cannot do it for themselves.

We had a different sealer today than normal, but the same other 3 men.

They are getting used to seeing us.

They were quite impressed that we could kneel so long at one time.

Our Heavenly Father blessed us so we could do it.

Thursday Nov. 10----Special program at Micah's schoo.

Micah was practicing her part for the program.

She went over and over it, until it sounded really good.

Tyler and Bogie look impressed with her part.

Actually I think Bogie was enjoying Tyler scratching his ears.

Pure plaesure.

I really enjoyed hearing them.

One baby sure didn't like them and started to cry.

There is noithing like a solo bagpiper in my opionion.

Yesterday I Dr. appointment. yesterday

Now I am taking 3 new meds for my sore mouth and cough.

Hope it will help and I won't have any sideeffects.

All I need is some more medicine to take.

Tuesday Nov. 8 VOTE

Dad and I voted early.

They wanted us to register as a Republican or a Democrate but we didn't

think it was right that we needed to tell people which party we were.

I've always been an independent as I vote the man or woman not the party at least

on the final vote.

We will see if they will let us vote in March or not.

What ever happened to the right to vote secretly?

We had pizza  for supper as Becky had been in Rexburg all day helping people vote.

Monday 7 Nov. Took caare of more apples

We still have apples, but are on the last box.

They sure make good cobblers.

Sunday, Nov. 6 Icicles on the roof.

Nov. 5th- Saturday - trip to the cabin to check things out.

There was less snow at the cabin than we got at Sugar.

I was going to get some pictures of Lance's family but forgot and left my camera in the PU.

Time to move the heater in -Friday Nov. 4

It is cold outside and in the diningroom.  The electric heat doesn't work in that room

so we bought a heater last year.

Becky made tinfoil suppers for supper.

Dad made some homemade soup in the crock pot.

Mom needed a rest.

Tuesday 11/1/11 Out below!

Got my old phone back and took it to Idaho Falls today.

Dad had to get his lab work done.

We needed a few things done on the car.

When I was a kid, whenever we went to Idaho Falls.

we said we were going "out below".

They still say it in the Valley, but I don't know why.
