Back to the Temple after the 2 week break. Friday 17, 2012.

Today we went back to the Temple after the 2 week cleanup break.

It was good to be back.

This picture looks like a drawing but it is real.

These are some of the flowers on the Temple grounds.

I decided, I would  try to post a few pictures for the past month.

So take a gander at them.

Bates Reunion 8-11-12. Pete in charge.

We were happy to meet together at the Atrium in Rexburg for

Michael's brothers and sisters.

The kids went over to the water park at Porters park but I didn't

go over so I didn't get any pictures of them there.

It was fun to visit with our Bates Relatives.

Some how these three were very photogenic.

Katrina brought me some apricots from her parents in Utah and

we made jam and I bottled 14 quarts of apricots.

Aren't these raspberries and peas delectable.  We have really enjoyed them.

Aunt Margeans 80th birthday party.

This is a picture of my Aunt Margean on the left who was celebrating her

80th birthday.  Aunt Wilma is in the tan outfit at the table.

They are my only remaining sisters of my Mom,

This is a picture of her children.  They were always musical.

Aunt Margean could sing very well.

This is a picture of the Bates kids giving Grandpa a good hug.

This is when they came to pick raspberries.

Schiess Reunion- First weekend in August.

Rod cut some poles at cabin after reunion and Grandpa

made them into real nice walking sticks for the Ottesons.

Saturday morning of the Reunion.

That fire sure felt good.

We had breakfast with Qunt Bonnies family.

That sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs

sure tasted good.  Thanks for those who helped us.

On Friday, there was lots of visiting and ROOK of course.

Here are the 7 of us.

My younger brothers are having health problems right now.

Lynn-must have a hip replacement on the 27th.

Tim had his knee scoped the Monday after this.

Lyle will have to have a heart operation after harvest.

Combined Family Home evening at Dereks, with Kendra.

Layne had fun playing with the toys at Grandpa and Grandma Bates home.

Everyone was serious about this aution, except Katrina.

Look how serious the Welch's were.

I think Mariah is in her own little world.

I think everyone got at least one thing they wanted.  It was fun playing

the games and the auction.  Thanks for all of your work

Everyone was gettin in on the fun games that Derek and Marcie were directing.

Some were caught in quite the poses.

We all had lots of fun earning points to spend of the action.

Fourth of July weekend at the cabin.

The kids were "segregated' when they had lunch for the 4th of July.

The boys were on the side porch,

And the girls were on the front porch.

The rest of us were in the cabin.
