Canm't seem to get away from those beautiful flowers.

My pink peonie is starting to bloom.

Personally I like this color better than the other darker ones.

They are all beautiful though.

Since this is the last day of the month I will give its scientific name.

We will be at the cabin for the 4th of July Reunion with our family

this weekend.  I am excited about being with you all.

June 29 Things are much cleaner around here.

Becky was at it again today.  Yesterday we got the shampooer fixed as one of

the hoses to the handheld devise was broken.

Today she cleaned the couch in familyroom, all green carpet downstairs

and her bedroom carpet.

Micah was able to help her.

Then she cleaned the couch, loveseat, Dads and Moms chairs in the

livingroom.  They look a lot better.

Thanks for all your work Becky and Micah.  And thanks Tyler

for watering my plants outside.

Last night Matt and Jen Black caae bacck and loaded all of their studd from

Gages shed.  The Elders helped them.

It was late time they got done, so they stayed at our house last night

and got an early start this morning.  Matt is going alone to Iowa with the truck

and Jen was going back to Brigham City.  We will miss them next door.

Gages have gone on a trip to visit their kids.

June 28 - Hot, Hot, Hot Day.

Today and yesterday I watered the raspberries, strawberries, lilacs,

and the apple trees.  This hot weather dries things out.

Matt and Jen Black were here today to pack up their things to go to Iowa.

They have had their things stored in Gages shed.

Matt has decided to sleep here tonight and go tomorrow.

Jen is planning on going back to her folks at Bringham City.

Their little girl is at her folks home there.

Matt is going to drive back to Iowa alone.

June 27 "I can see clearly now!"

I don't know if you can tell or not, but I certainly can.

Today I washed the windows upstairs and they look really go to me.

Becky took Tyler and Micah to the cabin to help trim the bushes along the trail

and take off logs ect. so it will be easier to go on the 4 wheeler.

Dad mowed the lawn again.

Just look at that clear view.

Wonder how long it will last.

June 26 Welch's come to visit

Wendy and Scott brought Tyler and Micah here to spend the week with

us while Wendy and Mariah are at girls camp.

Becky is looking forward to their visit.

She all kinds of things planned for them to do.

June 25 - Same old, same old

Dad has been using the saw today, so he had to vacuum up the sawdust.

Becky shampooed the livingroom.

I washed the clothes.

Same old, same old chores it seems.

We could sure save a lot of time if we didn't have 3 meals a day.

Sounds like a good idea to me.  I'm sure Dad wouldn't go for it though.

Another week comes to an end and it has been a busy one and we have got a lot

of things completed.

June 24 - Shampoo the carpet

Becky shampooed the carpet on the stairways, hallway and diningroom.

It looks a lot better.

We hope to finish the livingroom tomorrow.

June 23 - First rose of summer

This is the first rose to bloom this summer.

The rose bush is loaded with buds.

I brought some of my irises in for a boquet.

Aren't they regal.

I love all of the flowers around the yard.

They brighten things up and say it was worth waiting for.

This is a lily that was a start from my Moms.

Interesting enough this one bloomed on my Moms birthday Nov. 5, 2010

June 22-Today was lazy day for us

This is one of the newest flowers in our yard.  There are a lot of them

up the canyon above the cabin above the last creek and to your left.

The rose bush in front of the house is almost ready to bloom.

This rose bush is always so beautiful.

It has really bloosmed more since this picture was taken.

June 21-cleaning out the garage

Just look at these clean shelfs.

It means some of you are going to get a few things in the next few weeks.

As you can see we had quite a load to go to the DI.

Hope they can use it.

This is one of the first flowers we had this spring.

It is the one time I like yellow flowers.

June 20 - catching up at home outside

Coming home yesterday we came by the shortcut and it was very "MUDDY'.

So this morning Dad washed the pickup and shined it and the

he washed Becky's car and I shined it.

They look a lot better.

Becky spent all morning out weeding the rest of the raspberries and

the flowers.  She has a wheelbarrow full of weeds, and two more piles by the

raspberry patch.  I finally got her to quit at 1 o'clock.

June 19 - Sunday (Father's Day)

Dad was just relaxing on Father's Day at the cabin.

Becky and I went to church at Victor and it is the boys ward at 9 o'clock this year.

Dad's arm was hurting so he stayed at the cabin.

After we came home, Shanell, Rod and their kids came to see him.

Thanks all of you for remembering your Dad and for all of your gifts.

He appreciates all of you and your willingness to help when he needs it.

One year I had wild flowers in my garden.  Dad hated them, so I quit raising them.

June 18 - Saturday - Family Home Evening

Becky was playing games with the kids.

We had our Family Home Evening at the cabin.

Grandpa Bates gave the lesson on prophets.

Then we had a nice barbeque meal - Streak, hamburgers, or  hot dogs.

Then all of the kids got a ride on the 4 wheelers or the moter bike.

Some of them got a little muddy and wet.

There are lots of places on the trail that have water this year.

We now have a dryer and a washer that work at the cabin.

Thanks to Lance, Derek, Dad and Uncle Tim's work.

I took this picture in Idaho Falls last summer.

I'm not sure if they are Dahlias or Asters.

Anyone know for sure?

June 17 - Around the cabin

A walkabout the cabin.  Fiday morning Dad and I worked at the Temple

and them we went to the cabin.  Becky went up the day before.

Becky told me there was a red tulip out by her car and I

couldn't believe it.  I never planted a tulip bulb as

far as I know, but there it is.

There are not many flowers blooming yet.  Spring is slow in coming.

 This flower is all over the trees right now.

Look at the Huckleberry blossoms.  It froze hard on Thursday night

so I hope they were not frozen.

This is a rose from my bush in the front of the house.

This was from last summer.

We are gettin a lot og buds on the bushes so soon we will have

those beautiful pink roses again.

June 16 - Thursday (preparing to go to cabin)

Becky worked hard weeding the raspberries and Dad rototilled.

I made bread, washed and got ready to go to cabin tomorrow.

These are the purple flowers we got years ago from Arnells.

I do not know their name.

They are not blooming yet this year.

Visit for Father's Day early

Wendy, Micah, and Tyler camee to see Dad and give him a gift for Father's Day as they

can't make it up to the cabin on Saturday.

June 14- FLAG DAY

Today is Flag Dad.  There were flags all over town.

Today I went visiting teaching.

Gages are home from their mission and we were able to visit with

them for a few minutes this morning.  They look good.

They were pleased at how good the Blacks took care of their home

and their yard.   Last night we had a very hard rainstorm.

Everthing looks so pretty and good.
