Becky's window, night and day

Last night I went out and got a picture of Becky's blue Christmas lights in her window. Kinda cool isn't it.
This shows the snow on the rose bush and the blue lights. I think they look great.
This is what it looked like this morning. We got losts of snow yesterday. Today was much calmer. It is cold though. When we ate supper tonight it was only 25 degrees. Brrrrrrr

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was beautiful, warm and in the 60's. Today is dreary and cold and in the 30's. Thats Idaho for you.

Ashlyn's Blessing Nov. 7, 2010

Here the kids are waiting to get on the swing and fly into the pile of leaves that Becky had raked up. See Becky's regular blog to see more of them. She got some great shots.
Meanwhile inside it seemed like Dad and Wendy and Shanell were having a serious discussion. They needed to lighten up and go outside and see the kids play in the leaves.
Becky showed you the family group picture so I decided to show the Bates kids only. It doesn't look like Ashlyn was enjoying all the pictures. She was hungry and wanted to have the pictures over with.
When we left they were all waving goodbye and Becky got in the car and said I can wave my legs to so they had to all get into the act and wave their feet also. We had a great time at your home Lance and Katrina. I got a good movie of your parents Katrina, just as they were getting ready to leave.

"Bush Haircut"

This is a picture I took earler in the summer. The rose bush looks really nice. The "kids" don't look too bad either.
Today I had to give my poor rosebush a cut back so we can get by it on the sidewalk in the winter. It looks pretty sad doesn't it. Next spring I will get another picture when it starts to bloom. Sometimes we have to be cut back in order to bloom.

My Moms birthdate- (November 5, 1916)

Today would have been my Mom's (Viona Farnsworth Schiess) 94th birthday. This Lilly is a start from my Mom's plant. It didn't look good this spring so I put it outside on the porch for all summer. Then before it froze, I repotted it and brought it inside. It bloomed just in time for my Mothers birthday. She loved flowers and had lots of them in her baywindow. We especially enjoyed them in the winter.
I love Pansies and I think I got this love for them from my Mom. I heard the weather is going to change next week and we will only be in the 30's so I decided to bring me in a bouquet before it freezes. Aren't they beautiful?
