Treats for the neighbors!

Today I spent baking rolls to go out to the neighbors to go with the apple butter that Becky helped me makew earlier in the year in the crockpot. We have great neighbors and we want to tell them so by shring what we have.
Years ago I made this nativity in Relief Society. It has always been my favorite and it has lasted so far. I like to put it up on my corner shelf in the dining room. Lest we forget what Christmas is all about. We are very blessed.

First Presidencies Christmas program

I didn't get a very good pictures of all of them together but it was a great Christmas program as always. I love Christmas music because it stirs me. We are so blessed to have Prophets at the head of our Church to guide us. No other church has this. If we just listen to their counsel and to do what they say we will be happy.

Becky took me for a "short" ride

I asked Becky to take me to the store to get a gallon of milk nad we ended up a lot of different places. Here she is on our way up Green Canyon road.
If you look real close you can see 4 DEER on our way out of the canyon. They were watching us pretty close.
Just thought you might want to see the cattle shute along the way up Green Canyon. See how the cattle can walk right up the shute and into the truck if a truck was there.
Theres those four deer again. Wish they would have been closer. Becky will have to tell you what we we hunting for and if we were sucsessful or not. Wish we could all go to green Canyon. The kids would love it I'm sure. Years ago we always went there with our neighborhood the day after Christmas or thereabouts. We had Chile and enjoyed each others company.

The calendar says it is still fall ---

But it feels like winter to me so I put out my winter decorations on the shovel that Shanell gave me years ago. Rod just called and Shanell is out of surgery. She did have her apendecs out and the Dr. said it needed to come out. I'm glad it was something they knew was causing the problem. She will come home tomorrow and will be forced to take a week off from work. I'll bet she will hate that. HA HA!
We have a new addition to our yard. We have been without TV for a couple of weeks and we are glad to have it back. It took the man yesterdaay about 3 hours to install it. They couldn't put it on a metal roof or metal siding which we have. So he had to put it on a metal post and cement it into the ground. At least it will be easy to remove the snow now. Just hope the kids in the neighborhood leave it alone.

Dec. 2, 2010--Mixed bag

I have been having quite a bit of pain so I have been heating up those rice bags . They do seem to help a litte. Here is our small nativity on the kitchen cubbard. It is a special time to remember the Saviour and celebrate his birth even though He was born on April 6. Sometimes we forget what Christmas is all about. Whenever I see Christmas written as Xmas, I think that they are just crossing Jesus out of the Holiday.

December 1, 2010-Christmas card wreath!

Bet you have never heard of a Christmas card wreath. Dad said "What is that?" As you can see I have been busy today sending out pictures of all of you that we took on Labor Day weekend and a note to all my family and friends. Becky helped me put the picture and a note on the computer to send to everyone. Of course she put the "crazy" one on the computer letters that you will get. We have the good one on the cards I sent in the mail.
Just look at all the places they are going to. Of course I had send the first one to Sister Parle in Scotland. It is fun to keep in touch with family and friends especially those I only get in touch with once a year. Christmas time, a time to share love with everyone. I have Christmas music and it really cheers you up. I reccomend it to all of you.

Which line should I follow? Nov. 30, 2010

This is a strange blog I Know. As you can see we had to have 3 different persons come out and trace the gas line, electris line, and one other I can't remember. They need to know where these are when the man comes tomorrow to put a post in our yard to hold the TV dish on. It is not supposed to be on a metal roof or metal siding which we have. Weird right. We haven't had much TV for 2 weeks now.
