Pansies are one of my favorite flowers- Thanks Wendy

                                            Dad went to Wendy's to pick up the empty trailer.
                                            They got all of the manure spread on their garden area.
                                             Wendy sent back some gifts for Mothers Day
                                             Thanks Wendy.  You know I love pansies.

Look how beautiful these flowers are.

Spring must be here.

It was a beautiful day today.

Purple is still my favorite color.

Garden work.

                                       Becky is planting the peas and Dad is covering them up
                                        I raked the ground and then made the rows.  We have
                                        4 rows of peas and 4 rows of potatoes.  (2 russets and 2 red)

Becky filled all of the wall of waters to see if there are any leaks.

We will plant the tomatoes later.

It was a very nice day.  No wind to speak of.



Your Dad is a good Dad.

Dad roro-tilled the garden yesterday

after he mowed the lawn.  He is a hard worker.

                                      
                                        Dad, Becky and Wendy tried to get the trailer unhooked from
                                         the pickup but needed a jack which they didn't have.
                                        So Wendy called Lance and he came over to the rescue.

                                          Tyler and Micah intertained us while we were waiting.

Wendy is guiding Dad out through the gate afterwards.

Finally Becky and Micah moved.

We hope they enjoy that liquid sunshine and that thier garden is good.

Signs of Spring---

                                Can you see the tiny purple flowers coming up.  Once of first signs of spring.

Dad is outside mowing the lawn for the first time.  Becky wanted him

to wait until she got home so she could do it.

But you know your Dad.  This morning he saw Dr. Marshall

and got some little pre-cancer growths frozen on his hands and arms

but he said everthing else looks good.  Back in August to check again.

That is good news.



This could be the sign of something good.

                                          Notice the temperture outside.  We broke 50.  If we have some
                                           warm weather it will make a lot of difference in the plants outside.

New things in our shed.

                                        This is a used corner TV stand that we got in Blackfoot today.
                                      Becky found it on the internet, and Derek went with us to get it.
                                      It looks really nice and we will use it up at the cabin with our old TV.

Look at the new shelfs Dad and Becky built in the shed.

I hope I can find things when I want them.



A mixed up day---

 I couldn't sleep so got up and watched the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.  Now they are the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge.  It was a nice wedding but I thought how much more wonderful the weddings in the Temple are with people who are pure and that the wedding says for time and eternity, when a civil marriage like this one today, says until death do they part. 

 The snow looked so beautiful in the pine branches.  It looks just like frosting or whipped cream.  It was very cold today thoough.  The sun was out but the wind was cold.

Dad has been working out in the shed all morning on building more shelves.  After Becky came home she went out to help him.  He really appreciates all of her help.  Not sure why we need more shelfs, but I guess it keeps him busy.  He could have picked a better day (then come to think of it we haven't had many good days yet this spring.)  We hoped it would keep Dad inside, but no such luck.  He is a workaholic for sure.
