Welcome to our home

Yesterday I realized I hadn't changed my shovel welcome by the front door. I was still on spring and missed summer alltogether. Shanell gave me this many years ago. I don't know when the first day of fall is but I put it up anyway. I've been to busy to take a picture today. Grocery shopping, washing early this week, lunch, dead headed my flowers outside and moved two iris clumps. Yesterday was the last day of the month so I needed to get my Relief Society reports in to Jen Black who is the secretary. I have 4 women under me who are to call me with their reports. One called and I called the rest. Two called last night but one is always slow. I finally called her at 2 o'clock and she had only heard from 3 beats and needed another 8. I asked her if she wanted me to call them but she said she would do it. Guess what, it is almoost 7:30 and no reports yet. I hate taking them out in the dark. I need to take them to the R. S. President also and I need to make up the report. As you can tell waiting is not my favorite thing. I've been doing this for 4 and 1/2 years. Maybe I should let someone else do it.

  1. Don't give up just yet. I know waiting is hard, but you are doing a great job Mom. Keep smiling!

  2. I agree with Becky. Trust me, I know what it's like to wait as one of the presidency members .... AND if you really do want or need a change, the only way for those sisters to know is if you speak up to one of them, directly. The president is the responsible party over visiting teaching, so you would speak with her about your concerns. Can't expect change if no one knows that you need it ....
