I am always impressed whne they fold up the flag.Today Dad and I went with Mary Lou and Gary to Driggs Cemetary for the graveside service of Nolan Cordan who was married to one of Michaels cousins, Roberta. She was one of Aunt Naomie and Uncle Alfreds daughters. It was quite nice and sunny, but had a cold breeze. We were able to visit with some of his relatives. On our way back we stopped and visited Margaret.
I like the gun salute. I'm glad we still honor those who have served our country.
Tonight I went to Brother Kershaws viewing. He was such a good man. I got to see some good friends I haven't seen for awwhile. He also served his country. His funeral is tomorrow and I plan on going. I need to make a cake for it in the morning. This past month some good people have passed away. I'm sure Heaven was glad to see them come home after all the unselfish acts they performed.
I hope we can all live so that we will be welcomed "home" as good and faithful servants.
It's always hard to say goodbye, but at least we know that it's really "see you later".
