Today was a quiet one.

Today was Brother Kershaws funeral.
This morning I made a pineapple cake to take over for the luncheon afterwards.  We went over at 10:30 and were there until 12:30.  I was having a tough time sitting that long in the chapel, but made it.
It was a very good funeral and Dad and I enjoyed it.

This is the program and it was a very nice one.
Becky said, You know your kids aren't going to sing at either one of your funerals.  I laughed and said maybe my grandkids would.  The song "Oh My Father" sung by the three sons and one son-in-laugh was very good.  I really enjoy hearing men sing.  Now we have 8 widows on Teton Avenue in our ward.  7 of them in 3 blocks.  Kathy sat by me and mentioned this fact to me and I had already mentioned it to your Dad the other day.

Good byes are not easy.

I am always impressed whne they fold up the flag.
Today Dad and I went with Mary Lou and Gary to Driggs Cemetary for the graveside service of Nolan Cordan who was married to one of Michaels cousins, Roberta.  She was one of Aunt Naomie and Uncle Alfreds daughters.  It was quite nice and sunny, but had a cold breeze.  We were able to visit with some of his relatives.  On our way back we stopped and visited Margaret.

I like the gun salute.  I'm glad we still honor those who have served our country.

Tonight I went to Brother Kershaws viewing.  He was such a good man.  I got to see some good friends I haven't seen for awwhile.  He also served his country.  His funeral is tomorrow and I plan on going.  I need to make a cake for it in the morning.  This past month some good people have passed away.  I'm sure Heaven was glad to see them come home after all the unselfish acts they performed.
I hope we can all live so that we will be welcomed "home" as good and faithful servants.

Preen time!

Today was a little warmer so I put Preen on the raspberry patch.
It is supposed to kill the weeds before they start.

Today we even had some sunshine.

Goodbye small piles-----Hello big pile!

This morning was a little milder than
it had been so Dad went out to load up all the piles that we have
in our yard so I went out to help him.

Now we have one big pile in the back.
I was able to cut out the last half of row
of the raspberries.
Lots of needles in that pile.
I wouldn't want to hunt for a needle in this
pineneedle stack.

Here we go again.

Looks like a winter wonderland.  April in Idaho.  When will it ever stop.  I've about given up.

As you can see we were dumped on again last night.
Spring in Idaho I guess.

Micah is visitng with us today while the rest are at the Temple.

Micah is staying with us for a little while, while Wendy, Mariah, and Tyler are
over at the Rexburg Temple doing baptisms for the dead.
I believe Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Glen work there today.
She has been busy with a number of things.  It didn't take her long to
put the puzzle together.  She has been drawing since then and we also were able
to talk to the Blacks, and Becky and Derek at Kendras.
Koria and Kimball opened some of their birthday presents that we sent down
to them along with ones from Wendy and family.
It is a little late for their birthday, but maybe that is more fun to celebrate it
more than one day like I do.
Looks like they were happy about their gifts.  Star wars is always a hit.
